The practice of Mindfulness involves focusing your mind on the present. To be mindful is to be aware of your thoughts and actions in the present, without judging yourself.

Jon Kabat-Zinn, Professor of Medicine Emeritus and creator of the Stress Reduction Clinic, describes Mindfulness as “paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally.” The practice of Mindfulness involves focusing your mind on the present. To be mindful is to be aware of your thoughts and actions in the present, without judging yourself. Living in a fast-paced society like ours where instant gratification is the name of the game, many are looking to the mindfulness practice to stay focused, cope with stress & anxiety, reflect, achieve general well being or even reach peak performance states. This workshop helps children as well as adults learn how to incorporate mindfulness into their everyday lives.
